Today I received a surprise package in the post….

I have no idea who it’s from. There’s a first class large stamp with our address on the front, but no post mark. Dad said he saw the postman deliver it. I have seen similar messages for previous birthday and anniversary cards/gifts, but the 9th December doesn’t ring any bells, nor does 10.30am.
If I lived by myself I would totally cheat, but Dad is very strict about such things. It’s sitting on our mantlepiece awaiting the big event – I’ve set a reminder in my calendar as I’ll be at work.
It’s rare to get something meaningful in the post, and this has really peaked our whole family interest – I hope we’re not too disappointed! Thank you to whoever has sent it.
Have you ever received a surprise package in the post? Or sent one?
