This morning we had a go at the Trapeze.
This summer I’ve shared regular updates of what we’ve been up to during the school holidays – you can see a summary at our 2020: 42 Activities of Summer page.
I, a.k.a. Dark Horse/Mam was first up. I climbed to the top, ungraciously mounted the platform, stood up as the wooden pole wobbled below, and jumped for the metal bar. I caught it. I shouted/squealed happily “I did it”, and got a round of applause from the groups of people on Jacob’s ladder next to us.
Boys 1 and 2 took it in turns to climb from the top of the ladder progressively higher before swinging like a monkey to the ground. Boy 1 touched the top of the tower. Boy 2 climbed on top, jumped for the pole and narrowly missed twice. Boy 3 was quite happy to have one go before chipping in to help Dad belay, and exploring. What an adventure.
Have you had a go on a Trapeze?
