Today Boy 1 and I spent the day together trampolining and shopping.
This summer I’ve shared regular updates of what we’ve been up to during the school holidays – you can see a summary at our 2020: 42 Activities of Summer page.
Boy 1 loves bouncing and was very happy to visit our local trampoline park. I bounced too, and for the first time, we both landed a front flip (jumping from a height, bouncing, then spinning forwards to land on our feet). High ten’s all round.
Onwards to the metro centre for more holiday shopping – Boy 1 picked out a couple of t-shirts the same as his brothers – which they were keen to wear when he got back.
We had two further new experiences – visiting Build a Bear, and a selecting a pick n mix. Having walked past these almost every visit to the Metro Centre it was exciting to be having a go together.
On route home we stopped in to see Mamma and Grandad who have recently lost one of their beloved cats Pretzel. Boy 1 was very sad as he loved Pretzel too, and wanted to take them a gift. He wanted to buy them another cat, but we agreed on a cuddlier version called Pretzel 2. It was an emotional visit, and I was proud of Boy 1 for his kindness.
