Today Boy 1 and I visited Penshaw Monument and Herrington Country park.
This summer I’ve shared regular updates of what we’ve been up to during the school holidays – you can see a summary at our 2020: 42 Activities of Summer page.
Here’s the Relive video of our walk
And our photos
Boy 1 finally got to play in a playpark, and it was great as there was no-one else there. He planned out a ninja trail for me to follow which involved climbing up slides, through tubes, and down nets. I was shattered, and thankfully so was he!
Today, my main task has been sorting school uniform for September. I got all the old kit out, decided what we need, and placed orders via Asda Direct and our local school uniform supplier. It feels good to have got this out of the way (I’m usually the one dashing about with a week to go – but thanks to some incredibly kind people on our school website who have been giving school uniform away, it’s prompted early action).
I also called PGL Holidays who confirmed the 50% off prices on their website are correct, and we’ve booked a family holiday 🙂
Have you been to Penshaw Monument? What have you been up to today?
