Brinkburn Priory

On Sunday we visited Brinkburn Priory, an English Heritage property approximately 20 miles north of Newcastle.

The priory is a 10 minute walk from the car park.  There’s a church, with a large organ to explore, plus a house including basement, and outside grounds.

I’d allow approx 1 hour to visit.  The boys enjoyed playing bowls and hoopla.  The gardens were very peaceful, and would be a great place to have a picnic.

Later in the day we headed to Cragside, which was just fifteen minutes drive.

Have you been to Brinkburn Priory?
