On Sunday we attended a family food and culture day at Stannington Village Hall in Northumberland.
On arrival we watched some Bollywood dancing before joining in for three songs. For lunch we had the option of foods from around the world including lasagna, curry, sweet and sour, and pies. A steel band played whilst we were eating, and it felt like we were abroad. We spent the afternoon making flag biscuits, tealights with clay for Ramadan, Greek worry beads, and stroking animals, including a pigmy hedgehog. The boys were very impressed with their half Spiderman, half tiger faces (this was the first time the face painter had ever had this request)!
With huge thanks to Useful Vision Charity for this event.
